Making inferences

I was learning to make inferences about Duck Down.  It was easy to find the clues because I just needed to read.  A clue is when you find a expression, feeling and what they might say something.

Features of non-fiction texts

I was learning to look for special things in a non-fiction text.  Now I now that a sub-heading is like a title.  It was easy because we just add the words to the picture box.

It was tricky to use punctuation because I needed expression and add detail and write more.

I was learning to follow directions and be specific.Now I know different word for up,down,left and right.

Making inferences

Now I know that I have to look for clues in the story I have to use clues to figure out the characters and what they are like.  I found it tricky because there are lots of characters and have to remember what there like and what they say.

Features of a recount

Reflection I was learning about the introduction and body last of all , conclusion.   I know that who -when - where - why goes in the introduction.   It was tricky to write how I felt and I hope or I wish in the conclusion.

Making connections

Counting on and back

                                            I was learning to count back from the biggest number because the number I say is the number I count back.  It was easy because I didn't need to use the number line .

I was learning about non-fiction books.  Now I know that there's an index and photographs not drawings.  It was a bit tricky to tell the difference between fiction and non-fiction texts.

Making predictions

I predict that  she had cried all the way home because the boy made  the girl cry.   

I was learning to make a predict in danger in the car park.  It was tricky to make a prediction because it was tricky to think about the story and what had already happened.

Blend sounds

                                                                                                                                                                     I was learning to spell blend sounds.  I learnt about spelling and blending  words bl, gr, th, ch.

Splitting two-digit numbers into tens and ones

Reflection

I was learning to show 2 digit numbers in tens and ones.  It was tricky to make 42 because I had to put the tens into 40 and 2.
